Hybrisan WoundSan® Irrigation Solution is intended for cleansing and moistening wounds, for the management of acute and chronic wounds including ulcers, burns, post-surgical wounds and abrasions. Chronic skin wounds are mainly characterised by the presence of slough, necrotic tissue and/or microbial biofilms. Microbial biofilms are notoriously difficult to remove and lead to delays in wound healing. WoundSan® Irrigation Solution can help to mechanically remove these barriers of wound healing through its cleansing and mechanical activity. WoundSan® Irrigation Solution has been tested in vitro against a wide range of multispecies biofilms (bacteria, yeasts and fungi) that may retard healing.
